Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a CT Technologist for Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia. You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient comfort, follow ALARA principles, and document results in RIS/PACS as part of a collaborative care team.

The role requires ARRT CT and Radiography, BLS, and a minimum of 1 year radiology experience; offers sign-on bonus eligibility, relocation assistance, and a CareerCare education pathway.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R Radiography certification.
• ARRT-CT Computed Tomography certification.
• BLS – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and apply ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast with venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and report issues.
• Document studies in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies; restock equipment as needed.
• Organize daily workflows; support department continuity and compliance.
