Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist for Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia. You will perform CT procedures, deliver high-quality imaging, and provide a supportive patient experience as a valued member of a collaborative care team.

The role is full-time with a sign-on bonus eligible and relocation assistance for eligible candidates. You will work Friday-Sunday 6p-6:30a, maintaining patient safety and comfort while following ALARA principles.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining the ALARA principle and adjusting techniques for diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders; use two unique patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address patient questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care during visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and support crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and collaborate to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance; keep areas orderly and stocked, and escalate issues to supervisor.
