Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a compassionate patient experience at Columbia County Medical Center Hospital. You will work within a collaborative care team to perform CT procedures and ensure accurate documentation and patient safety.

The role requires radiology competency, ARRT certifications, a minimum of one year in radiology, and BLS. This on-site position offers shift opportunities with sign-on and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required.
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and optimize image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA principles.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address patient questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits.
• Administer contrast and perform venipuncture when needed.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and complete final documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies; restock life-support equipment as required.
• Coordinate daily workflows to meet departmental timelines; support operations and compliance.
