Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist for Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia. You will perform CT exams, ensure patient comfort and safety, and collaborate with a care team to deliver high-quality imaging.

The role requires an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT‑R and ARRT‑CT certifications, and at least 1 year of radiology experience. Sign-on bonus eligible and relocation assistance may be available as part of the full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, maintaining diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and use two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol; use venipuncture when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or adjust as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/prior exam retrieval.
