Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT Technologist I in Charlotte to perform CT procedures in accordance with department protocols. The role requires operating CT scanners, preparing patients, and ensuring safety during imaging.

You will verify orders with radiologists, document procedures, and assist in maintaining equipment and image quality. A sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT within one year of hire required. BLS required.
• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT Scanners and related equipment with proficiency.
• Identify patients and explain procedures; verify orders with Radiologist.
• Gather patient medical history and review EMR data for pertinent information.
• Perform CT scanning from start to finish, including post-processing.
• Administer IV contrast per protocols and document usage.
• Assess image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Provide basic patient care and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and radiation protection standards.
