Akumin is hiring a CT Technologist at our Oakland Park, FL facility. This full-time role focuses on patient safety, high-quality CT studies, and clear communication with radiologists. The position may involve training new technologists and Patient Coordinators.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT; NMTCB in CT acceptable in lieu of ARRT in some states.
• State license; Licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Active State Driver’s License for mid-day moves.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections; use of aseptic injection techniques.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoots the scanner, coach and all peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS).
