Job summary

Akumin is hiring a CT Technologist in Clearwater, FL to join our outpatient imaging team. This full-time role focuses on patient safety, performing high-quality CT studies, and clear communication with radiologists and staff.

Responsibilities include ensuring pre-screening for radiation contra-indications, operating the CT scanner, and training new technologists or patient coordinators. A state license and ARRT CT registry are required; a NMTCB alternative is acceptable where permitted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT CT certification required; NMTCB acceptable in lieu of ARRT where applicable.
• State license to practice medical imaging; CPR certification.
• Experience with radiology equipment, patient safety and pre-screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform CT studies and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists and team members.
• Train new technologists or patient coordinators as needed.
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment such as PACS and monitors.
