Job summary

Akumin is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT studies with a focus on patient safety and image quality. The role includes effective communication with radiologists and patients. You may train new technologists and Patient Coordinators and assist with equipment troubleshooting.

Responsibilities cover pre-screening, image production, and maintaining smooth operation of the scanner and related systems. A state license, ARRT CT registration, and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Registered CT Technologist by ARRT.
• State license required.
• CPR certification required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and pre-screen for radiation/contrast contraindications.
• Produce high quality diagnostic CT images.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).
