UofL Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans per protocol, ensuring accurate patient positioning and radiation safety. You will assist radiologists with complex examinations, manage contrast administration, and provide patient education.

The role requires a JRC-approved radiologic technology program, ARRT registration, KY Radiation Operators certification, and BLS; CT certification may be preferred or obtained within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered with ARRT and KY Radiation Operators certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; CT Certification preferred at time of hire but required within 1 year.

Responsabilités

• Perform CT scans according to established protocols with high accuracy.
• Position patients correctly and ensure safe exposure/field of view.
• Assist radiologist with CT examinations and biopsies as needed.
• Prepare and administer contrast media per policy and regulations.
• Educate patients pre/post exam and document in the system.
• Instruct Radiologic Technology students in CT positioning and technique.
• Attend department meetings and train new personnel.
• Maintain credentials and ensure areas remain clean and orderly.
