Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans in accordance with established protocols and to assist radiologists with advanced examinations. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient safety, and adherence to radiation protection standards.

The successful candidate will prep patients, administer contrast per policy, educate patients, and participate in ongoing departmental training and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered with ARRT KY Radiation Operators certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • CT Certification preferred at time of hire but required within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Uses radiographic techniques to produce CT scans according to established protocols.
  • Assists radiologist with intricate CT examinations and contrast administration.
  • Maintains patient safety and radiation protection practices during all procedures.
  • Educates patients pre- and post-exam, and documents procedures in the computer system.
  • Trains Radiologic Technology students and participates in department meetings and training.

Education

Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology
Registered with ARRT KY Radiation Operators certification
BLS
CT Certification (preferred within 1 year)
