Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans per established protocols with a strong focus on patient safety and accuracy. The role includes assisting radiologists with advanced CT procedures and providing education to Radiologic Technology students.

Ideal candidates have ARRT registration, JRC radiologic technology training, and KY Radiation Operator certification, with CT certification planned within the first year of employment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered with ARRT.
  • KY Radiation Operators certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • CT Certification preferred at time of hire but required within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs CT scans according to established protocols with accuracy.
  • Maintains patient safety and radiation protection standards.
  • Positions patients and equipment to optimize diagnostic quality.
  • Administers or assists with contrast media under hospital policy.
  • Instructs Radiologic Technology students in CT scan positioning and technique.
  • Performs venipuncture and contrast injections as required.
  • Keeps examinations logged in the computer system and participates in quality improvement.
