Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a CT Technologist at University Hospital in Louisville to perform CT scans per protocol, ensuring accurate positioning and image quality. You will support radiologists during advanced examinations and contrast administration, while maintaining safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a JRC-approved radiologic program, ARRT registration, and KY operator certification with BLS. CT certification within 1 year is preferred or required after hire.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered with ARRT.
  • KY Radiation Operators certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • CT Certification preferred at time of hire but required within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs CT scans according to established protocols with accuracy.
  • Maintains knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
  • Ensures safety practices and proper use of protection equipment during radiographic examinations.
  • Assists radiologists with complex CT examinations and contrast administration as required.
  • Instructs Radiologic Technology students in CT scan positioning and technique.
  • Maintains patient education related to the exam and ensures complete documentation in the computer system.
