Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines to obtain diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/CDs as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment as required.
• Collaborate with technologists to support department workflow.
