Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist. You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety and quality imaging in a collaborative healthcare setting.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT CT certification, and ARRT Radiography with at least 1 year of radiology experience. Competitive hourly pay with shift incentives and supportive career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in radiology procedures and patient positioning.
• Familiarity with ALARA principles and radiographic safety.
• Ability to operate CT imaging equipment and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Maintain infection control; clean and disinfect rooms and equipment as scheduled.
• Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and confirm two patient identifiers prior to exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol including venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality; repeat/correct as needed and release patients accordingly.
• Document in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals; ensure study finalization.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies and restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows and collaborate with technologists to support department operations.
