Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient-centered care within a collaborative radiology team.

The role includes performing CT procedures, ensuring radiation safety (ALARA), and maintaining accurate documentation in RIS/PACS. Required ARRT CT and Radiography credentials, SAGU, and BLS, with emphasis on patient comfort and safety in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality.
• Maintain infection control and equipment cleanliness.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders; confirm two unique patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies.
• Support department workflow and regulatory compliance.
• Restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
