Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles for patient populations served.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT license/registry within one year of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist and clarify discrepancies.
• Identify and assist patients with clear explanations of procedures.
• Interview patients for medical history and review EMR for pertinent data.
• Manage exam from start to finish and ensure documentation.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per departmental protocols.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Perform basic patient care and respond to changes in condition; assist in life-support procedures when needed.
• Operate radiology computer systems for orders, charging, and documentation of contrast.
• Maintain neat, stocked work areas and comply with safety policies.
• Rotate shifts including call back, holidays, and weekends as required.
