Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time CT Technologist to join the Radiology team. Responsibilities include verifying orders, preparing patients, and conducting CT scans with radiologist support. You will review medical history, document contrast details, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

The ideal candidate holds a two-year AMA Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program, ARRT/NMTCB CT registry, and BLS certification, with the ability to work PRN shifts and rotate as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders; refers questions to Radiologist before performing exams.
• Identifies patients and explains procedures; prepares patients and documents on worksheets.
• Reviews EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical history and records medical history on requisitions.
• Assists in CT scanning and invasive procedures; maintains sterile technique and follows safety policies.
• Operates radiology computer system to enter orders and document contrast administration.

Education

Two-year AMA Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program

ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB and CT registry within 1 year
