Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capturing quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, screen contraindications; verify orders and two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or correct as needed.
• Complete accurate documentation in RIS/PACS; transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows; collaborate with technologists to support department flow.
• Support operations, keep areas stocked, transport patients, complete charging/clerical tasks.
