The CT Technologist will assist radiologists, administer contrast, perform venipuncture, and provide patient education while maintaining credentials. Requires JRC approved program and ARRT registration; KY certification; CT certification preferred, with 1 year CT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered with ARRT; KY Radiation Operators certification.
• CT Certification preferred at hire but required within 1 year.
• Prefer at least 1 year of CT Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scans according to established protocols with high accuracy.
• Maintains knowledge of radiation protection and safety.
• Assists radiologists with CT examinations and biopsies.
• Prepares for and administers contrast media per policy.
• Performs venipuncture and contrast injections as required.
• Ensures examinations are logged in the computer system.
• Instructs Radiologic Technology students in CT technique.
• Attends department staff meetings and in-services.
• Maintains current credentials on file.
• Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
