Job summary

Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) New Bed Tower expansion in Charlotte is seeking a CT Technologist I. This role operates CT scanners and related equipment with proficiency, following established protocols to deliver high-quality imaging across varied patient cases.

The position emphasizes patient preparation, IV contrast administration, and teamwork with radiologists, with duties spanning the entire exam from initiation to dictated results.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB is required; ARRT advanced CT registry within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders with Radiologist if needed.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers and explains procedures before the exam.
• Reviews EMR and patient history to correlate test results with exam.
• Operates CT scanners and associated equipment; performs exams from start to finish.
• Administers IV contrast following departmental protocols; documents contrast details.
• Maintains image quality and communicates findings to Radiologist as required.
• Supports patient care during procedures and participates in safety and infection control.
