Job summary

Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge is seeking a CT Technologist to perform routine CT imaging with emphasis on patient safety and image quality. You will mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and departmental procedures.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT CT certification or eligibility within 90 days, and a current state license. A BLS certification is preferred and a flexible schedule may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• CT experience preferred.
• ARRT-CT certification or CT registry eligible within 90 days of employment.
• Current unrestricted license in state of practice.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates imaging equipment to complete procedures per protocol (including IV placement).
• Reviews patient images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Performs timely quality control procedures per regulatory standards."],
