Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency seeks a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in a clinical setting. You will operate CT scanners, prepare patients, administer contrast as needed, verify identities, and ensure ALARA safety principles are followed.

You’ll evaluate image quality and support interventional procedures, while educating students and healthcare staff. Required ARRT or NMTCB certification (new grads must obtain it prior to employment) and strong knowledge of radiation

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Ability to perform computed tomography procedures and evaluate images for quality.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety, patient preparation, and clinical protocols.
• Excellent communication and educational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures and operate CT scanners.
• Verify patient identity and prepare patients for imaging.
• Optimize imaging protocols while adhering to ALARA principles.
• Administer medications or contrast agents as needed and monitor for adverse reactions.

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists are responsible for performing diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging procedures using ionizing radiation.
They independently operate or assist licensed practitioners in acquiring and analyzing imaging data, preparing patients, and ensuring safety practices in accordance with regulations.
Key duties include verifying patient identity, optimizing imaging protocols while adhering to ALARA principles, administering medications or contrast agents, evaluating image quality, and assisting with interventional procedures.
They also educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
Work is performed in a clinical environment, requiring compliance with organizational policies.
