Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency in Pittsburgh is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic imaging with a focus on safety and data quality. You will operate CT and molecular imaging procedures, follow ALARA principles, and collaborate with licensed practitioners.

The role requires ARRT or NMTCB certification, completion of a radiologic technology specialty program, and a willingness to pursue advanced credentials within 24 months. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history confidentially.
• Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety and quality.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and ensure data is stored, transferred, or processed correctly.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and perform CT scans as prescribed.

Role Overview:

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and research imaging procedures using ionizing radiation. They independently conduct or assist with CT and molecular imaging, ensuring accurate data acquisition for diagnosis and treatment, while adhering to safety protocols and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
