The role requires ARRT or NMTCB certification with new graduates needing certification prior to employment, plus completion of a Radiologic Technology training program. A related Bachelor's degree is preferred and professional conduct is expected in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate image quality, work in a clinical environment, and follow policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper patient identification, preparation, and documentation of clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to ALARA principles for patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate image quality and proper data storage or transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with interventional procedures.
• Perform imaging procedures as directed by licensed practitioners.

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging procedures involving ionizing radiation. They independently operate or assist licensed practitioners in acquiring, analyzing, and interpreting imaging data for diagnosis and intervention.
