Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with strict adherence to safety and quality standards. You will identify patients, prepare them for scans, and ensure data integrity and image quality.

The role includes applying established imaging protocols, supervising students, and assisting with interventional procedures in a clinical setting. Certification requirements must be met prior to employment.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB certification required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Applicants hired after a specified date must complete steps for advanced certification within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient identification, prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize proper imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety and quality imaging.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate images for proper positioning and quality.
• Verify data transfer and post-process images as needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with interventional procedures.

Role Overview:

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and research imaging procedures using ionizing radiation. They independently conduct or assist with CT and molecular imaging, ensuring accurate data acquisition for diagnosis and intervention at the request of licensed practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain correct patient identification, prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize proper imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety and quality imaging.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate images for proper positioning and quality.
• Verify data transfer and post-process images as needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with interventional procedures.

Work is performed in a clinical setting, with accountability for compliance with policies and procedures. Additional department-specific skills and competencies are essential for successful job performance.
