Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist to coordinate imaging services in the CT and Radiology areas. You will monitor staff, throughput, and equipment usage while performing CT scans to support diagnostic care.

The role requires ensuring clinical safety and delivering patient-centered imaging in a high-volume hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have ARRT CT certification, a Texas radiologic technologist license, and BLS, with 1 year of CT experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an educational program in radiology accredited by JRCERT or AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent military training.
• Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology - preferred.
• One to two years of CT experience; CT tech experience 1 year required.
• Licensed by Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
• Certified in Radiology and CT by ARRT (R)(CT).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed CT - Computed Tomographic procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in the use of CT scan equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Document, on film or in writing, information seen during exam.
• Relay to physicians any relevant patient information.
• Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize risk to patient, self and others
• Participate in rotating call schedule.
• Performs other department related duties as needed.
• Participates in formal training programs and in-services.
