Qualifications

• Graduate of an educational program in radiology accredited by JRCERT or AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology (preferred).
• One to two years of CT experience.
• Licensed by Texas DSHS as Medical Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT (R)(CT) certification.
• BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of start.
• One year of CT Tech experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed CT - Computed Tomographic procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in CT scan equipment.
• Document findings on film or in writing.
• Relay relevant patient information to physicians.
• Apply radiation safety principles to minimize risk.
• Participate in rotating call schedule.
• Perform other department duties as needed.
• Participate in training and in-services.
