Job summary

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high‑quality CT imaging for diverse patient ages, from neonatal to geriatric. You will follow protocols, operate CT scanners, and support radiologists during procedures while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires radiologic tech training, MRT/ARRT certification, and BLS, with emphasis on timely, accurate imaging and documentation across a busy department.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Completion of CT and cross‑sectional anatomy courses.
• Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• ARRT (R) certification active in radiology.
• ARRT (CT) certification within 6 months of CT assignment.

Responsibilities

• Produce scans of diagnostic quality for Neonatal to Geriatric patients.
• Follow established scanning and viewing protocols.
• Operate CT scanner and related equipment efficiently.
• Complete quality scans timely and manage STAT/urgent workloads.
• Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma and challenging patients.
• Knowledge of disease processes and optimal image generation.
• Use power injector and know its limits.
• Scan patients of all ages adjusting for age/size/needs.
• Complete required documentation on forms and Meditech.
• Assist Radiologist during invasive procedures and ensure supplies.
• Ensure CT and department equipment are functioning properly.

Education

Graduate from an accredited approved program in Radiologic Technology

Completion of courses in computed tomography (CT) and cross-sectional anatomy

Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB)

Certified in Radiology by ARRT (R)

Certified in CT by ARRT (CT) within 6 months of CT assignment
