Job summary

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking an enthusiastic CT Technologist to produce diagnostic-quality scans across neonatal to geriatric patients.

You will operate CT scanners, follow protocols, and support urgent cases while maintaining high patient care. The ideal candidate has radiologic technology certification, CT experience, BLS, and ARRT CT credentials, with ability to assist Radiologists during procedures.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting.
• One year experience performing CT procedures - preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Completion of courses in computed tomography (CT) and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per policy.
• Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R).
• Certified in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT CT) within 6 months of CT assignment.

Responsibilities

• Produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients from Neonatal to Geriatric age groups.
• Follow established scanning and viewing protocols.
• Operate CT scanner and related equipment efficiently.
• Complete quality scans in a timely manner to meet STAT and urgent demands.
• Assist Radiologist during invasive procedures and ensure availability of supplies.
• Ensure CT and department equipment are functioning properly.
