Job summary

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform CT scans across a wide age range, adhere to scanning protocols, and support radiologists in invasive procedures.

The role requires experience in acute care settings and CT, plus MRT certification and ARRT credentials. The department emphasizes high-quality imaging, trauma care, and fast, accurate workflow to meet STAT demands.

Qualifications

• One year of radiology technologist experience in an acute care setting
• CT procedures experience preferred
• Graduate from an accredited approved program in Radiologic Technology
• Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB)
• ARRT(R) certification
• ARRT(CT) certification within 6 months of CT assignment

Responsibilities

• Produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality for neonatal to geriatric patients
• Follow established scanning and viewing protocols
• Operate CT scanner and related equipment efficiently
• Complete quality scans promptly while managing STAT and urgent demands
• Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma and challenging patients with position adjustments as needed
• Demonstrate knowledge of disease processes to identify related anatomy
• Use power injector and understand its limits
• Scan patients of all ages and tailor exams to age/size/needs
• Complete required documentation on forms and logs
• Assist Radiologist during invasive procedures and ensure supplies
• Ensure CT and department equipment function properly
