Job summary

The Mental Health Association of Rochester is looking for a qualified Computed Tomography Technologist to perform high-quality CT scans and support compassionate patient care. You will operate CT equipment, follow safety protocols, and coordinate with HIS, RIS, and PACS to ensure accurate image delivery for interpretation.

Required are an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, ARRT registration with CT within one year of hire, Florida CRT licensure, BLS certification, and ideally at least one

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• ARRT registration in Radiology, with CT registration within one year of hire.
• State licensure as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred minimum of one year of CT experience.
• Basic computer skills for operating systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans following department protocols and accurately interpret images.
• Manage HIS, RIS, and PACS systems for ordering, monitoring, and validating images.
• Organize patient information, reports, and prior films for interpretation.
• Interview patients, explain procedures, and assist with preparation.
• Operate power injectors, demonstrate radiation safety, and maintain equipment functionality.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and provide comprehensive patient care tailored to age and condition.
• Recognize normal and abnormal images, report findings promptly, and maintain supplies.
• Assist with rotating supplies and linen as needed.
