Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality computed tomography imaging and patient-centered care on a 36-hour night shift. The role requires completing an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS certification, with at least one year in radiology.

The CT Technologist will perform procedures with ALARA principles, maintain safety, and document results in RIS/PACS while collaborating with the radiology team to ensure accurate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Disinfect and prep rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients, addressing questions and reducing anxiety using AIDET.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat/correct as needed.
• Complete documentation in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as required.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock crash carts and life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department operations.
