Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient-centered care. You will join a collaborative radiology team, performing CT procedures, administering contrast, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout exams.

The role requires ARRT CT certification, ARRT Radiography certification, and at least 1 year of radiology experience. Night shifts are part of the schedule, with opportunities for professional growth and education support.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R certification required.
• ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to minimize patient dose (ALARA).
• Maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams; obtain clinical history.
• Explain procedures and post-care using AIDET and address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock as needed.
• Keep daily workflows organized and support department operations.
