Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will be a valued member of a collaborative care team working within Cobb Hospital.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, a radiologic technology background, and BLS. You will perform CT exams, apply ALARA principles, and ensure accurate documentation and patient prioritization throughout the imaging process.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications are required.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain diagnostic image quality with ALARA.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, screen contraindications, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and communicate results as needed.
• Document accurately and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department flow.
