Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a CT Scan Technologist to provide direct patient care and perform CT examinations per department standards.

Under supervision of senior staff, you will conduct CT imaging, ensure accurate records, and support interventional exams across Marlborough, Nashoba Valley, and Groton. Licensing and ARRT/NMTCB certification are required, with strong communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiological program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or NMTCB certified in diagnostic CT.
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
• Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scan examinations appropriate to the patient age in inpatient/outpatient settings per policies and standards.
• Gather pertinent clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
• Complete all records, paperwork and billings promptly.
• Position and transfer patients; assist physicians with interventional exams.
• QC images and send exams to PACS for physician review.
• Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton to provide support.
• Carry out duties under Radiologist or ER Physician direction.

Hiring Range

$35.94 - $58.96 (based on a full time schedule of 40 hours per week). Please note that the final offer will vary based on scheduled hours. Compensation for part-time or reduced schedules will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

Under the supervision of the Senior CT Scan Technologist and department leadership, provides direct patient care services and other related functions in support of the department. Performs independently within scope of department policies. Clinically works at the direction of a qualified Radiologist.

Major Responsibilities

• Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
• Gather s pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
• Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly .
• Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams.
• Promptly and properly completes exams, perform s QC on images and appropriately send s exams to PACS for the physicians to review.
• Assists in maintaining an orderly inventory and in arranging the purchase of needed supplies.
• Assists with other job - related duties including urgent exam requests and scheduling.
• Under the direction of a Radiologist or Emergency Room Physician, perform s CT exams using contrast media according to department policy and procedure s .
• Will establish IV access for contrast injection according to department policy and procedure.
• Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as scheduled to provide operational, administrative, or departmental support.
• The float requirements only apply to UMass Memorial Nashoba Valley's newly hired staff

Position Qualifications

License / Certification / Education

Required:
