Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group's New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care on a mobile unit. You will join a collaborative team and operate imaging equipment to support diagnostic exams.

Responsibilities include performing CT procedures, maintaining radiation safety with ALARA, preparing contrast, and ensuring patient comfort and safety while documenting studies in RIS/PACS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Explain procedures, prep, and postcare clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS.
