Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers prior to exams.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address patient questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and relist if needed; release patients appropriately.
• Document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers and prior exams retrieval.
