Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems seeks a CT Technologist for Douglas Hospital to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will work within a collaborative care team, applying your radiologic expertise and patient-focused approach in a busy clinical setting.

This role emphasizes adherence to ALARA, accurate documentation, and clear patient communication. A full-time shift includes relocation and sign-on incentives where eligible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently with ALARA to minimize patient dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders and screen for contraindications; obtain clinical history.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals.
