Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient-centered care in a busy hospital setting.

You will perform CT procedures, ensure ALARA, verify orders, explain procedures, maintain equipment and documentation, and support a collaborative care team. Wellstar's CareerCare program offers education funding and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Disinfect, clean, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient IDs before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol; venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock crash cart as needed.
• Organize daily workflows to support department flow and compliance.
