Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Cobb Hospital.

Technologists are valued clinical professionals serving a collaborative care team. You will perform CT exams, maintain radiation safety practices, and ensure accurate documentation in RIS/PACS while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications plus BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and dose optimization (ALARA).
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques for diagnostic quality.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and report any issues.
• Document studies accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows and support department operations and compliance.
