Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at ALARA doses.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history; verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol; venipuncture as needed.
• Position patients correctly; apply markers, shielding, and immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed.
• Document studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrievals and CDs.
• Monitor patient condition; respond to emergencies and restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows; collaborate to support department flow.
• Maintain orderly areas; complete charging/clerical tasks; follow regulations and escalate issues.
