Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose, and maintain infection control in exam rooms.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology is preferred.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines while maintaining ALARA.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and ensure diagnostic image quality.
• Disinfect rooms and equipment; report any issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using the AIDET framework and address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Provide accurate documentation in RIS/PACS and manage exams transfer/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies; restock and organize areas.
• Collaborate with the team to support department workflow and compliance.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Accredited Radiologic Technology program

ARRT-R (Radiography)

ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography

BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
