Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care in Cobb County. You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with radiology teammates to optimize workflow and documentation.

The role emphasizes adherence to ALARA principles, accurate history collection, and clear patient communication, with a full-time schedule and benefits. Relocation and sign-on incentives may be available.

Qualifications

• Minimum radiology experience is required; CT tech role requires knowledge of imaging protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to minimize dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain exam rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders; ensure two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Perform contrast exams via venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly; apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and release patients after completion.
• Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrievals as required.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; support department flow with colleagues.
• Support operations, keep areas organized, and comply with regulations.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Accredited Radiologic Technology program

ARRT-R (Radiography) certification

ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography

BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association
