Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with high-quality results while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will prepare patients, position them for procedures, verify orders and identify patients correctly, ensuring minimal radiation exposure and accurate imaging studies.

Daily duties include operating imaging equipment, assisting other technologists, and supporting infection control, charting, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
Current radiologic technology certification or certificate.
Active BLS and ARRT-R credentials; ability to perform radiographic exams.
Commitment to patient safety, infection control and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Adjust technique to minimize radiation dose while maintaining image quality.
Operate equipment, prepare patients and ensure proper delivery of imaging procedures.
Verify patient identity, orders and use correct markers; maintain patient privacy.
Document procedures, load injections when required and monitor for adverse events.
Assist other technologists and respond to emergencies; maintain equipment and cleanliness.
Restock supplies, manage workflow, and ensure timely completion of studies.
