Job summary

Arkansas Children's Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for the Night shift at the Springdale campus. The role requires at least 2 years of CT Tech experience, RTL certification (or equivalent options), and obstruction-free patient care within radiology.

The position features a $10K sign-on bonus, a nights schedule (Mon-Thu 8:30pm-6:30am), and a patient-focused environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Certification options: RTL - Arkansas Department of Health; ARRT CT; CNMT

Responsibilities

• Verifies exams as ordered by physician.
• Demonstrates knowledge to perform correct scan protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
• Adheres to radiation safety recommendations and ALARA principles.
• Properly administers IV and oral contrast.
• Explains exams to patients and families.
• Maintains work area and cleanliness.
• Keeps current with advancements in CT technology.
• Maintains equipment and requests service as needed.
• Complies with regulatory laws and standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university

Description

• 1. Verifies exams as ordered by physician.
• 2. Demonstrates the knowledge to perform correct scan protocols in an effort to decrease radiation exposure to patients.
• 3. Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to all radiation safety recommendations, including patient shielding. ALARA
• 4. Properly administers IV and oral contrast.
• 5. Explains exams/procedures to patients and families.
• 6. Ensures that work area is properly maintained.
• 7. Keeps current of new and evolving technologies in CT.
• 8. Maintains equipment and requests service as needed.
• 9. Complies with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
• 10. Performs other duties as assigned.
