Job summary

Arkansas Children's CT Technology team is hiring for a Night Shift CT Technologist on the Springdale campus. The role requires 2 years of CT tech experience, RTL certification, and delivering high-quality patient care with strict radiation safety. A 10K sign-on bonus and patient loan repayment are offered.

Required: Associate degree or equivalent; ARRT CT certification preferred; RN or related nursing diploma may be considered in certain cases. Bachelor’s degree recommended for advancement.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent required.
  • RTL certification required.
  • 2 years CT Tech experience required.
  • ARN: Arkansas RTL license or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies CT exams as ordered by physician.
  • Performs CT protocols with emphasis on minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Maintains radiation safety and patient shielding per ALARA.
  • Administers IV and oral contrast as needed.
  • Explains exams and procedures to patients and families.
  • Keeps work area clean and properly maintained.
  • Maintains equipment and arranges service as needed.
  • Complies with applicable regulatory standards and policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Description
  • Verifies exams as ordered by physician.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge to perform correct scan protocols in an effort to decrease radiation exposure to patients.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to all radiation safety recommendations, including patient shielding. ALARA
  • Properly administers IV and oral contrast.
  • Explains exams/procedures to patients and families.
  • Ensures that work area is properly maintained.
  • Keeps current of new and evolving technologies in CT.
  • Maintains equipment and requests service as needed.
  • Complies with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
