Job summary

Arkansas Children's is seeking a CT Technologist for night shifts at the Springdale campus. The role focuses on developing CT exam knowledge, minimizing radiation exposure, and delivering high-quality patient care.

RTL at hire and certification within 1 year are required, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance. The position offers a $10K sign-on bonus and a student loan repayment program, with four 10-hour night shifts Monday–Thursday and a 8:30pm–6:30am schedule.

  • Certification within 1 year as listed in job description.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies exams as ordered by physician.
  • Develops knowledge to perform correct scan protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Adheres to all radiation safety recommendations, including patient shielding (ALARA).
  • Properly administers IV and oral contrast.
  • Explains exams/procedures to patients and families.
  • Maintains work area and ensures equipment is serviced as needed.
  • Keeps up with current CT technologies and standards.
  • Complies with regulatory laws and protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Description
  • Verifies exams as ordered by physician.
  • Developing the knowledge to perform correct scan protocols in an effort to decrease radiation exposure to patients.
  • Developing knowledge of and adherence to all radiation safety recommendations, including patient shielding. ALARA
  • Developing knowledge to properly administer IV and oral contrast.
  • Developing ability to explain exams/procedures to patients and families.
  • Ensures that work area is properly maintained.
  • Developing knowledge of current or new and evolving technologies in CT.
  • Maintains equipment and requests service as needed.
  • Complies with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
