Job summary

Arkansas Children’s Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for night shifts at the Springdale campus. The role requires RTL at hire and certification within one year, performing CT exams with attention to radiation safety and patient care.

Four 10-hour night shifts (Mon-Thu 8:30pm-6:30am) with a $10K sign-on bonus are offered, along with a student loan repayment program. Requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent; ARRT CT certification within one year; direct pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Verifies exams as ordered by physician.
• Developing the knowledge to perform correct scan protocols to decrease radiation exposure to patients.
• Developing knowledge of and adherence to all radiation safety recommendations, including patient shielding. ALARA
• Developing knowledge to properly administer IV and oral contrast.
• Developing ability to explain exams/procedures to patients and families.
• Ensures that work area is properly maintained.
• Developing knowledge of current or new and evolving technologies in CT.
• Maintains equipment and requests service as needed.
• Complies with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
