Job summary

Atrium Health’s Davie Medical Center is hiring a Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technologist with CT expertise. You will perform exams, ensure patient safety, administer contrast, and collaborate with Radiologists to deliver accurate results.

Required ARRT Radiology or NMTCB, ARRT CT registry within one year, and BLS. This on-site role involves shift rotations, strict radiation safety, and direct patient care in a dynamic imaging department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or NMTCB-accredited program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT advanced registry within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests, verify orders, and consult Radiologist on discrepancies.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and prepare them for procedures with explanations.
• Review EMRs to obtain history and document on requisitions; correlate history and test data.
• Oversee exam from start to finish through dictated results.
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and record type/amount when requested.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist; perform additional reconstructions if needed.
• Perform basic patient care, inform nursing staff of condition changes, and assist in code blue during emergencies.
• Perform CT scans and assist Radiologist/PA; maintain sterile technique for procedures.
• Obtain medications or contrast for licensed practitioner; follow radiation safety standards.
• Report malfunctioning equipment; maintain safe operations around exposure risks.
• Adhere to fire/safety policies and complete required safety modules.
• Rotate shifts including call back, holidays, weekends; follow attendance policy.
