Job summary

Atrium Health in Georgia is seeking a CT technologist to perform CT scans, prepare patients, administer IV contrast as needed, and assist Radiologists. You will ensure imaging quality and safety while maintaining radiation protection practices.

The role requires ARRT radiology certification (or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine) with CT registry within one year of hire and BLS. Prior experience with RIS/PACS and contrast administration is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Graduate ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT Radiology certification or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine, with ARRT CT registry within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient, referring to Radiologist when discrepancies exist.
• Properly identify patients and prepare them with explanations of procedures; document on worksheets.
• Interviews patients for medical history and reviews EMR to obtain pertinent clinical history.
• Assumes responsibility for the exam from start to dictated results completion.
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures; maintains sterile technique.
